The Company was founded in 1956 for the hot rolling of steel; it subsequently started to concentrate exclusively on the production of blades. The Company soon achieved success on the market with its already famous grooved blades.At present, Ferriera di Cittadella has its own sales network over five continents and exports to more than sixty countries.

Ferriera di Cittadella produces saw blades for granite with a new quality of steel, FC60S, made under special specifications, for blades to be used on the new high speed gang-saws.

The superior mechanical features of the blades are combined with functional advantages:maximum distribution of abrasive , minimum lateral friction, better cooling and the retention of any abrasive granules which are too big and which would cause slabs' surface scratching.

FC's grooved steel blades allow an increased productivity of the gang-saws for granite through an effective cost control in the cutting and a lower consumption of abrasive during the polishing.

Sice the hot rolling of the strips is done by Ferriera di Cittadella, the company can supply the blades in the sizes and thickness required by the individual cutting length's, depending on the criteria and working methods of it's customers.

Two different kinds of blades can be ordered :

A) The traditional steel grooved saw blade;

B) FC Plus , the new patented steel grooved saw blade with indentations , for an easier restoration of the blade's contact surface during the cutting process.
